Couples often have a difficult time locating a minister for their wedding if they are not members of a church congregation. A couple may find that their pastor is not available, or unable, to officiate at their wedding at the time and place of their choosing. The couple may not be active members of a congregation. The couple may find that their extended family's diverse religious backgrounds requires a neutral minister. Or they may find that a church wedding is not available within their denomination because of a previous marriage.

I work with a couple to plan a ceremony that is expressive of their beliefs. The bride and groom have planned every detail of their wedding event and I believe they should have the same opportunity regarding the ceremony itself. I officiate at the type of ceremony desired by the couple whether it's a religious or civil ceremony - whether it's denomination specific, non-denominational, inter-denominational or inter-faith.
